We had an excellent day with contractors who work at Ashridge Business School on Friday. Having introduced new contractor controls on the estate the aim of the day was to explain to everyone why changes have been made, what they were and how we can continue to work together to control risks for everyone working on site.
Presentations were given by a range of speakers on a variety of Health & Safety and Environmental Management topics and the feedback has been excellent. We also introduced the Ashridge “Contractor Exchange Portal” which is a web based system that has been created to enable contractors to access hazard information such as Asbestos Registers and also download their risk assessments
For new and exisiting clients this is very much a model that we would like to roll out to others. Efficient Contractor Management that is more than just a paper exercise is a huge challenge but we can help you to improve standards in this challenging area.
